Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy

Rooted in its brand philosophy of “Putting People First, Respecting Their Needs,” Juoku views its employees as the cornerstone of the company’s efforts to illuminate the future and advance toward intelligent automotive lighting, locks and electronics switches. We implement the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System to proactively prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, safeguard the safety and health of every employee, supplier, and visitor, and fulfill our long-term commitment to sustainable operations.

Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy

Juoku is a manufacturer of automotive and motorcycle lighting fixtures, molds, locks, electronics switches, and related components. We are committed to the goals of pollution prevention, continuous improvement, ecological conservation, and zero incidents and accidents. To fulfill our social responsibilities, we will effectively allocate resources, establish a healthy and safe work environment and ecological environment, and achieve the goal of sustainable operations.

We are committed to:

1. Comply with and meet all applicable environmental, safety, and health laws, regulations, and other requirements.

2. Reduce the use of hazardous substances, implement effective pollution control and management, and commit to green product design.

3. Continuously improve environmental, health, and safety performance through pollution prevention, conservation of energy and resources, risk management, and waste reduction initiatives.

4. Strive to improve and manage the work environment, effectively prevent injuries and illnesses, and reduce the occurrence of hazardous incidents to ensure the safety of employees, as well as suppliers, contractors, and visitors entering the company.

5. Promote resource recycling and reuse to reduce material consumption and waste.

6. Establish effective communication channels to convey our environmental, health, and safety policy to employees, our main plant, subcontractors, shareholder representatives, the local community, and relevant organizations.

7. Incorporate environmental, safety, and health concepts into training for employees, suppliers, and contractors; promote various environmental, safety, and health initiatives; and ensure their implementation in daily business operations.

Occupational Safety and Health Committee

To strengthen the oversight and management of occupational safety and health, Juoku has established an “Occupational Safety and Health Committee,” chaired by the President. The committee brings together department heads, the Occupational Safety Office, and employee representatives to review, coordinate, and make recommendations on occupational safety and health policies and plans.

• Dual-Track Review Mechanism: In addition to convening the Occupational Safety and Health Committee on a quarterly basis, we actively promote “monthly safety meetings” to review and discuss various occupational safety and health plans.
• Transparent Communication Platform: Through substantive dialogue between management and employee representatives, we ensure transparent communication channels and fully listen to the needs of frontline employees. We engage in in-depth discussions regarding risks and opportunities at the facility, monitoring of the work environment, and proposals for improvement. By implementing the PDCA cycle for continuous improvement, we instill a culture of safety in all employees.

Health Management and Workplace Care

The health of our employees is the source of our company’s competitiveness. We care about our employees’ physical and mental well-being and provide comprehensive workplace care.

• Employee Health Management: We provide employee physical examinations and health checkups at a frequency that exceeds legal requirements, and we have contracted professional occupational physicians to provide consultations and follow-up care.
• Health Promotion and Prevention: We actively promote initiatives to prevent overwork, ergonomic hazards, workplace unlawful infringement, and to protect the health of middle-aged and older employees. We also organize health promotion activities and health seminars on an irregular basis, caring for our employees’ physical and mental well-being from the inside out. We safeguard our colleagues’ physical and mental health.

Workplace Accident Prevention and Emergency Response

With “zero workplace accidents, zero major incidents, and zero fires” as our ultimate goal, we have established a multi-layered prevention and response system.

• Multi-tiered Inspections and Proactive Safety Measures: Led by top management, 6S inspections are conducted in conjunction with supervisor-led rounds and operational safety observations to proactively identify and eliminate potential hazards. At the same time, each plant has established its own dedicated emergency response team. Through regular drills covering fire safety, first aid, and chemical spills, safety awareness is instilled in employees, transforming it into the ability to respond promptly and prevent disasters before they occur.
• Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Implement “near-miss reports” and analyze external case studies to drive improvement initiatives across the entire facility. In the event of a near-miss or accident, immediately launch a root cause investigation and implement corrective actions. Through feedback and systematic management, continuously optimize the work environment to ensure that preventive measures are dynamically refined in response to changing conditions.

Juoku’s vision for sustainable operations is “zero incidents.” Although one workplace accident occurred in 2025, the company immediately conducted an accident analysis and formulated corrective measures. Through company-wide implementation and case-based awareness campaigns, we are actively implementing risk control measures and preventing recurrence, striving to create a safe and secure work environment.

Occupational Safety and Health Education and Training

Make safety awareness second nature—coming home safely is the only way. We are committed to making safety awareness second nature for our colleagues and to continuously communicating our EHS values to our employees and partners.

• Comprehensive Professional Development: Beyond statutory certification and refresher training, the Company delivers specialized training for employees performing high-risk tasks, such as powered pallet jack, equipment maintenance, and electrical work. These programs are designed to strengthen both technical proficiency and occupational safety awareness, ensuring employees are well equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.
• Contractor Health and Safety Management: Through pre-entry hazard briefings and rigorous inspection and audits, we ensure that all projects are carried out and completed under safe conditions. We strive to ensure that every worker who enters Juoku returns home safely and with a sense of achievements.
