Resource Recycling and Utilization

Waste Management

In accordance with its environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policy objectives, Juoku has integrated “reducing material consumption and waste” into its daily operations. We have obtained ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification. Through the standardized PDCA management cycle, we implement management starting at the source and extending to proper disposal at the end of the production process, thereby establishing a comprehensive circular system.

  • Optimizing Resource Value: Juoku evaluates and reduces the use of hazardous substances during the R&D phase and is committed to optimizing resource efficiency. In the injection molding process, the company converts plastic waste into raw material for replacing and cleaning injection barrels, effectively reducing raw material waste.
  • Implementing a Sustainable Supply Chain: For the remaining waste, we rigorously implement sorting and management protocols and select qualified disposal and treatment providers to ensure that residual resources enter the recycling system. We also extend the concept of sustainability to supply chain management to collectively reduce our environmental impact.

Juoku is committed to achieving its waste reduction goals and implements various waste reduction and resource recycling measures through its Energy Conservation Task Force. In fiscal year 2025, the total volume of waste collected and transported decreased by 7.48% compared to the previous year, and the resource recovery rate reached 61.05%. The company is dedicated to reducing its environmental impact to protect our green planet.

Water Resources Management

Juoku regards water resources as a precious natural asset. We are committed to minimizing the impact of our operations on aquatic ecosystems by continuously improving our management performance. We strictly enforce waste water discharge controls at our facilities to ensure that all process and domestic waste water is properly treated:

  • Compliant Discharge and Real-Time Monitoring: All three of Juoku’s facilities strictly adhere to industrial park regulations and are fully connected to the municipal waste water collection system to ensure that waste water is not discharged directly into external natural water bodies. At the Tainan Tech Park Plant, we have installed waste water pre-treatment facilities to ensure that water quality exceeds discharge standards before discharge. Through our ISO 14001 management system and regular monitoring, we protect the local water environment and surrounding ecosystems at the source.

  • Water Efficiency Management and Conservation Practices: We continuously monitor industrial and domestic water consumption at all our facilities and, guided by the principle of pollution prevention, work toward reducing energy and resource consumption. We are committed to improving water efficiency and, through the optimization of production equipment, the management of water-saving facilities for domestic use, and environmental education for employees, we are implementing the company’s sustainability goals of “environmental protection” and “ecological conservation.”

Juoku fully recognizes the preciousness of water resources. Through the ongoing efforts of our Energy Conservation Task Force to implement various water-saving measures, our water withdrawal volume in fiscal year 2025 decreased by 26.06% compared to the previous year. We are committed to optimizing water use efficiency and complying with the wastewater discharge standards of various industrial parks, thereby fulfilling our commitment to environmental sustainability and resource conservation.
