Climate Governance

Juoku views climate change as a core challenge to the company’s sustainable development. Under the guidance of our Board of Directors and through cross-departmental collaboration, we implement energy management and carbon reduction strategies, translating our commitments to “pollution prevention” and “energy and resource conservation” into concrete actions for climate resilience. Through the PDCA management cycle, we continuously optimize production energy efficiency, striving to reduce the climate impact of our operations and protect our shared ecological environment.

Greenhouse Gas Inventory

To ensure transparent operations and targeted carbon reduction, Juoku conducts annual greenhouse gas inventories to accurately record carbon emissions generated by its operational activities. Guided by the principles of “promoting resource recycling” and “reducing material consumption,” we systematically pursue reduction targets—from basic electricity usage to process improvements—and are taking concrete steps toward a low-carbon transition.

Juoku actively responds to the global trend toward net-zero emissions by conducting annual greenhouse gas inventories. Since our emissions primarily stem from electricity consumption, we have established an “Energy Conservation Task Force” specifically dedicated to promoting energy efficiency improvement projects.

To effectively promote energy-saving measures, Juoku has set a target of reducing energy consumption by 2% annually and aims to achieve a 14% reduction by 2030 compared to the base year (2023).

Total emissions for 2025 were 6,000.441 metric tons, a decrease of 1,197.7030 metric tons (16.64%) compared to the 7,198.144 metric tons recorded in the base year. The total emission intensity also decreased from 3.59 to 2.90, a reduction of 19.24%.

With our outstanding performance in 2025 and the early achievement of our 2030 carbon reduction targets, we will continue to optimize our energy mix, review our energy conservation goals, and move forward proactively and steadily toward our low-carbon transition goals.

Ambient Air Quality Management

In addition to its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Juoku maintains a high level of vigilance regarding gas emissions generated by its manufacturing processes. We are committed to complying with and adhering to environmental regulations to ensure that the impact of our production activities on the surrounding community and the environment is minimized.

  • Application of Pollution Control Facilities: To meet regulatory requirements, we have installed compliant air pollution control equipment at the Tainan Tech Park Plant. Through a comprehensive filtration and treatment system, exhaust gases are treated before being released into the atmosphere, ensuring that emissions remain well below regulatory standards.
  • Pursuing Low-Carbon Development and Emissions Reduction in Parallel: We view air pollution control as an integral part of climate resilience. By optimizing production processes and reducing solvent usage, we minimize the use of hazardous substances at the source to maximize environmental benefits.

Juoku Technology, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint at the source. By adopting a base coating-free manufacturing process, introducing ion bombardment cleaning technology, and optimizing and replacing cleaning solvents, we achieved a 16.45% reduction in chemical solvent consumption in 2025, resulting in lower emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We will continue to advance green manufacturing technologies to safeguard air quality and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable environment.
